Free Digital Resources for Teachers: Canva for Education

Canva™ is an amazing tool that allows users to create digital resources such as worksheets, presentations, videos, flyers, flashcards, cards, and much more. There are hundreds of free resources but there are also some amazing paid resources that you can upgrade to. Fortunately, if you are an educator, you can have unlimited Canva access for free!

Canva for Education allows teacher to access all of Canva’s resources for classroom use for free. Please note, that you may not use your resources commercially. So, if you are a teacher who also likes to sell your created resources, you will need to purchase Pro or utilize the free Canva resources.  

Some features that I recommend upgrading to Canva for Education or Canva Pro:

1. Unlimited Elements- You have millions of images and clipart at your fingertips. 

2. Brand Kit- Choose a brand kit with set colors and fonts. This way all of your resources will be similar in appearance, but you can easily click on the brand kit which will automatically change fonts and colors within your selected palette. This makes creating super quick!

3. Canva Classroom- You can create a digital classroom where your students can complete assignments, collaborate, and share. 

4. Templates- Canva has amazing templates that you can use for free! This makes creating resources a breeze. Just search their templates and tweak. 

5. Import to other Learning Platforms- Canva resources can connect to many other learning management platforms.
